About Me

I'm Julie, an accomplished educator with a diverse background spanning elementary and high school teaching, principalship, and college professorship. My educational journey includes earning an MA in Intercultural Youth and Family Development, as well as an MA and EdD in Curriculum and Instruction. These qualifications have equipped me with a deep understanding of cultural diversity and effective teaching and leadership methodologies.

In addition to my work in education, I have seven years' experience as a coalition coordinator implementing programs such as PAX, LifeSkills, Primary Project, and Strengthening Families, while also spearheading policy and social norms campaigns.

Moreover, I am a Qualified Administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory and have undergone professional training as a coach and Mastermind facilitator. Through these roles, I exhibit exceptional skills in guiding individuals and groups toward achieving their goals.

My work has taken me across various regions, including Southern California, Honduras, and the Yakama Nation. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering understanding and bridging differences in service to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

I currently reside in Yakima, Washington, with my beloved puppy, Freckles, and two cats, Coda and Sissy.
